Homework Homework will be set every week on a Wednesday. Children will be expected to return their homework by the following Tuesday. Maths will be set every week. RE will be set at the start of each topic. They will also receive either a reading comprehension or some SPaG work. Spellings will be given out at the beginning of every half term for that term. They are tested every Monday. Children are awarded 1 house point for practising their spellings and a further house point for learning the definitions and putting the words into sentences. Children are encouraged to read their reading books every evening. Children need to write in their reading record when they have read and have it signed by an adult. When they have finished their book, they complete a short comprehension test using Accelerated Reader and then change their book. Children are encouraged to read other types of literature also.

Homework Other homework is given out occasionally. This will vary in nature according to the learning that has taken part in class. Children should continuously practice their times tables to improve fluency.
