What caused the American Revolution? Thamara D

Interolable Acts Stamp Act Quartering Act Tea tax

Stamp Act of 1765 required that many printed materials in the colonies be produced on stamped paper produced in London, carrying an embossed “revenue stamp.” Printed materials included legal documents, magazines, playing cards, newspapers and many other types of paper used throughout the colonies. Like previous taxes, the stamp tax had to be paid in valid British currency, not in colonial paper money

Quartering act the Quartering Act allowed troops to be billeted in occupied private homes this means the government could make the colonists give a place to live for the British soldiers

Tea tax The Act granted the East India Company the right to directly ship its tea to the colonies and to be a duty-free export from Britain.

The end result These actions (and more) raised tensions that broke out into the American War for Independence.
