WHAT IS GOOGLE PLAY STORE? Google Play Store is an application developed by Google. It was launched on March 6, 2012. It serves as the official application store for the Android operating system which is a mobile operating system developed by Google. User can browse and download applications developed on Android platform.

The applications available through Google Play store are either free or charge of cost. User can also download books, games, movies and music from Google Play Store. Before introducing Google Play Store, Android Market, Google Music and Google eBookstore were three different applications.

WHAT IS A MOBILE APPLICATION? A mobile application is a computer program designed to run on a mobile device such as a smartphone or tablet computer. It is designed to perform a group of coordinated functions, tasks, or activities for the benefit of the user.

EXAMPLE OF MOBILE APPLICATION Aaple Sarkar app provides a one stop platform for citizen to seek the redressal of their grievances. The app can be used to Post Grievances: Grievances/Complaints can be filed under appropriate category and a token number will be provided for the same Track Grievances: Track the status of grievances posted by you Provide resolution feedback: Provide your feedback once your grievance is resolved The app also provides links to the "Right to Information" and "MyGov" portals of the Maharashtra government.

HOW TO DOWNLOAD AN APPLICATION STEP 1: On your device, open the Google Play Store application. STEP 2:Choose Apps & Games or Movies, Music, Books. Let us choose App & Games.

Step 3: Click on Search box at the top and type the name of application you want to download. E.g. Yashada. Step 4: A list of applications will be shown in the dropdown. Select the one you wish to download.

Step 5: You can see the ‘Yashada’ application dialouge box with the information about the application. Click on the ‘Install’ button. Step 6: Once you click on ‘Install’ button, you will be asked to agree the terms and conditions. Read it and then accept.

Step 7: Once you agree, you will be able to see a Progress bar showing the percentage of downloaded application. Step 8: After completion of download you will be able to see the notification at the top of mobile ‘Installed Successfully’ and an icon is created on the screen.

Step 9: Click on the icon and the application will be launched.
