What Makes Study Abroad Trip to China Unique! “In studying abroad, you’re not just changing your own life…you’re changing the lives of everyone you meet.” - Michelle Obama UTRGV School of Art’s ARTS-4337 or ARTS-4339 class is an affordable study abroad opportunity which enables you to step outside your comfort zones to gain a real experience with the world beyond your borders - experience with languages, cultures and societies very different from your own. Or, as the Chinese saying goes: “Better to travel ten thousand miles than to read ten thousand books.” because more and more companies are realizing that they need people with experiences around the world, who can speak different languages, who can transition easily into other cultures and people who bring to their jobs a sensibility and a sensitivity for other people. When you're struggling with a language, new foods, learning directions, being forced to make friends and do things that you wouldn't normally do, that's going to set you up for a lifetime of value. It's going to make you a better parent. It's going to make you a better human being.
