Are you ready? Godly leadership change- 1400 BC Moses led the Israelites for 40 years and it was now time to enter the promised land Joshua had been Moses faithful servant He was one of only 2 of the 12 spies who had given a favourable account of the task ahead

Are you ready? God said: “Now that my servant Moses is dead” Joshua must lead my people He promised Joshua what he had promised Moses about the Promised Land He stated “I will be with you as I was with Moses” Moses is dead so forget the past

Are you ready? God’s Commandments “Be strong and courageous” – Joshua 1:6 “Be strong and very courageous” – Joshua 1:7 “Obey all the laws Moses gave you” “Be strong and courageous” – Joshua 1:9 “Do not be afraid or discouraged” – Joshua 1:9

Are you ready? What was Joshua’s response? His belief in God never wavered He obeyed God He commanded the people to get provisions ready He gave them a timetable of 3 days He reminded the “Eastern tribes” of their commitments to this war He sent out spies to Jericho

Are you ready? How about us for 2014? Do you believe in God? Are you ready to obey God? What is your mission? At work? At home? In church? In your community?
