Assist at school reviews and children’s panels. Aims- The aim of the Youth Support Team in Lomond View Academy is to offer support to individual pupils in need by working on an individual or small group basis. The Youth Support Team act as a contact between both school and home and often make contact with parents to offer support.   Objectives- Assist at school reviews and children’s panels. Organise alternative work placements for young people in accordance with their ILPs Offer individual support to young people in Lomond View Facilitate group work programmes. Help young people to manage their behaviours when they are in crisis. Liaise with families and offer support when needed. Carry out regular home visits Work in partnership with other partner agencies such as YPAT and Addictions worker Work with young people to achieve alternative learning outcomes- i.e Duke of Edinburgh, PX2 and John Muir Award which enhances the wider aspects of Curriculum for Excellence Deliver cognitive skills programmes.
