The Australian aborigines

Outline The history of the Australian aborigines The Religion of the Australian aborigines How are the Australian aborigines living now. What are the most famous animals in Australia. What do they use them for.

The history of the Australian aborigines. As we all now at other parts of the world modern humans evolved from earlier forms , unlike the Australians aborigines the probable came to Australia as modern human beings 40,000 to 60,000 years ago. The path of the Australian aboriginal history changed radically after the 18th and 19th century settlement of the British as we all know. The Australian Aborigines form together with the Bushmen and pygmies one of the oldest human race. They are one of the first human groups to have moved out of Africa perhaps 60,000 years ago.

Religion The Aboriginal religion is based heavily on the Dreaming. The Dreaming is the Aboriginal creation story. Aborigines believe that at the beginning of time the world was a shapeless mass of nothing, waiting to be transformed into what we see today.

How are the Australian aborigines living now Most of them were forced to leave their traditional lifestyle, and have moved to the suburbs , and they are in trouble right now. The Aborigines are highly discriminated which causes some people to not hire them, Even the police and government discriminate against them. Some progress was made recently when an Aboriginal woman was voted into Australia parliament.

Most famous animals in Australia Kangaroos have powerful hind legs and short, tumbles forelimbs , Their bodies are covered in thick, coarse, wooly hair that can be shades of gray, brown or red. Wallaroo This Australian marsupial got his name by putting together the words WALLaby and kangAROO since it is between these two animals in size.. Koala Koalas have soft, wool-like fur that is gray above and white below. Their fur is mostly white on the underside below the neck, and their ears have long white hairs on the tips

Quokka The Quokka was one of the first marsupials spotted by Europeans when they first visited the western coast of Australia in the late 1600s. Because the Quokka looks like a rat, it was at first believed to actually be a rat. Echinda An Echidnas body is covered with 2 types of hair. A "normal" short coarse hair to keep them warm and long sharp spines each being a single hair but hard similar to our fingernails in composition. The coloring and length of their normal hair differs wildly across Australia depending on climate and habitat.
