Tipping: what's expected in London There are no fixed rules regarding tipping in London. It's normal to leave a tip of around 12.5% for good service in restaurants. Check your bill first, however. If a service charge has already been added, there's no need to tip, unless you were particularly pleased with the service. Taxi drivers may also expect a tip.
