IDENTIFY potential hazards Are there vehicles or pedestrians that could be a problem? Are there objects or conditions that could threaten the intended path of travel?
PREDICT how the hazard could be a problem Where might a crash happen? What might the vehicle or pedestrian do?
DECIDE how can I avoid the crash Slow down or speed up? Change direction or lane position? Communicate with turn signals, horn and eye contact?
