Our Vision for a Safer Community A fulltime 5 person City Traffic Enforcement Unit assigned to address City traffic issues. Comprised of 5 deputies, these officers would report to the District 2 Commander and be responsible for identifying problems within the City, i.e. speeders and aggressive drivers, disobeyed traffic control devices, crash investigations, driving under the influence, etc. This Unit would be able to work in conjunction with the 5-person County Traffic Enforcement Unit for the purpose of handling larger traffic enforcement initiatives in the City.

The Bureau of Economic Business Research (BEBR) provides population estimates every April 1st. Based on the projected numbers for Flagler County (Medium Projection), the City can generate population projections as a portion of the County projections. The most recent population projection indicates that by 2040, the City’s population will more than double to 165,514.
