Perspectives One of the biggest challenges is the continuous professional maintenance of an e-learning platform An e-learning platform must always be up-to-date An e-learning platform should be a perceived as a common European project Problem-solving and higher-order reasoning skills should be tested in a supervised clinical setting

Conclusion We have been able to establish the foundation for a European based paediatric anaesthesia e-learning platform The implementation of a European based paediatric e-learning platform could potentially lead to a more common way of providing anaesthesia for our smallest patients
