Ascension Luke 24:50 When He had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, He lifted His hands and blessed them. While He was blessing them, He left them and was taken up into heaven. Acts 1:4-11

Pentecost Day of sacrifice for sin and peace as well as a day of joy and blessing because of the harvest. Pentecost is all about harvest, a power to reap a spiritual harvest for God. Acts 1:8 You will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you ; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth.

Pentecost Jesus’ disciples received a greater power than seen before in the Old Testament. It is power to do 2 things: Power to live the Christian life Power to carry out Christian ministry

Power to live the Christian life Power for victory over the influence of sin in the lives of believers. Romans 6:14 Power over Satan and the demonic forces that attack believers. Ephesians 6:10

Power to carry out Christian ministry Gives or distributes spiritual gifts for ministry to all believers. 1 Corinthians 12:7 Spiritual gifts are given for the building up of the Body of Christ.

How do we become positive people, people of hope and joy? Ephesians 5:18 Be filled with the Spirit!
