Timeline eGP in Latin America and the Caribbean First wave 1995-2005: information portals and minor interactive features. Second wave 2005-2014: interactive functionalities (supplier registries and e-tendering) and first transactional systems. Third wave 2015-present: large scale implementations, business intelligence, e-market place and infrastructure beyond in-house IT departments (government data centers, cloud based solutions).

Institutions behind eGP A major factor in the development of eGP systems has been the institutional set up adopted by the countries in Latin America and more recently in the Caribbean. How to develop eGP as a means for procurement reform and not an end unto itself.
