What Are Self Driving Cars? capable of sensing its environment Doesn’t need human input Uses radar, LIDAR, GPS, Odometry, and computer vision. control systems interpret sensory information to identify navigation paths  capable of updating their maps based on sensory input

The Good of Self Driving Cars Higher speed limit Removal of age constraint on drivers Avoid traffic crashes caused by human driver errors Smoother and faster ride Less need for traffic police

The Good of Self Driving Cars Increased roadway capacity and reduced traffic congestion Reduction in car theft Reduction of physical space required for vehicle parking Less need for insurance Reduces total number of cars while car sharing/car pooling

The Bad of Self Driving Cars Liability placed on manufacturer of device and/or software driving the vehicle Software reliability Loss of driving-related jobs Drivers being inexperienced if situations arose requiring manual driving Car's computer could be compromised

The Bad of Self Driving Cars Current police and other pedestrian gestures not adapted to autonomous driving Susceptibility of the car's navigation system to different types of weather  Having the ability to car would require an driver's education Cost is very high Driver's ed. courses would lose money

The Bad of Self Driving Cars Potential For Greater Pollution Potential Loss Of Privacy Computer Hackers Current road infrastructure may need changes for cars to function optimally Resistance from professional drivers and unions who expect job losses

Conclusion Overall self driving cars are unsafe May be good but many risks Law probably wont be changed If legalized wont be popular for a while High risk for hackers when new

CONCLUSION They are Going to Be Very Popular With Celebrities They will be an extreme luxury THEY WILL BE VERY COOL IF LEGALIZED They will put other companies out of business causing loss of jobs Only rich people could afford them while new

Conclusion Overall I think self driving cars will happen Not that different from regular cars so they are kind of uneccacary Many downsides with few upsides If Made will need lots of lessons for driving them More pollution causing greater environmental affects
