Famous now ... but what did they do after Year 11?

At 17 I was . . . At Westminster Catering College and then I trained as head pastry chef for Antonio Carluccio at The Neal Street Restaurant in London

At 17 I was . . . Training in a good job and the youngest ever player for England aged 17. You will not succeed without training and hard work.

At 18 I was . . . At the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama where I developed my skills and confidence

At 18 I was . . . Doing a BA Honours degree in Performing Arts and Drama at Middlesex University.

At 18 I was . . . President of the students’ union at the sixth form college in Pwllheli North Wales before going to Chester University

At 18 I was . . . In the army training to be a physical training instructor (PE teacher in the army!)

At 18 I was . . . Doing my A Levels at school in Manchester and listening to music non stop!

At 18 I was . . . At Cambridge Arts and Sciences College, a private sixth-form college and raring to go!

At 18 I was . . . doing drama and English literature A Levels at the Jellicoe Theatre, part of Bournemouth University. Then I went to the Mountview Academy of Theatre Arts in London

Famous now ... What do all these successful people have in common? Why is it crucial that you keep learning new skills and gaining new experiences after Year 11? What might you be doing in the year 2014?
