NEWSLETTER New Recruitment NOVEMBER 2015 PAUL E. CLARK AMVETS POST 2001 P.O. BOX 701 Avon, Ma 02322 NEWSLETTER NOVEMBER 2015 Amvets is about veterans helping veterans November will be another busy month for the Paul E. Clark AMVETS Post 2001.I would like to thank Charlie Lizine for organizing and running the Thanksgiving Raffle for local Veterans. We will have completed the Veterans Day clover drive, and Veterans Day service and breakfast at the Frank M. Noyes VFW Post 8892 by the time you read this newsletter. November is a time we can reflect on what Veterans Day is about. I read a quote and would like to share it. “It is the soldier, not the reporter, who has given us freedom of the press. It is the soldier, not the poet, who has given us freedom of speech. It is the soldier, not the organizer, who gave us the freedom to demonstrate. It is the soldier who salutes the flag, who serves beneath the flag and whose coffin is draped by the flag, who allows the protester to burn the flag.” -Father Dennis Edward O’Brien, USMC Sunday, NOVEMBER 15th @ 9:30 am SHARP!!! at the VFW Avon, MA The Post By-Law All AMVET Members Have To Wear An AMVET Hat Or Cap At All Meetings New Recruitment Begins September 1, 2015 Get out there & sign up NEW MEMBERS THE AMVET THAT SIGNS UP THE MOST MEMBERS Our new goal is to reach 100 members!!!
