ACCIDENTALS Accidentals are used to modify the sound of a note, making it a big higher or lower in pitch. Sharp: It makes the sound of the note one step higher. Flat: It makes the sound of the note one step lower. Natural: It cancels out other accidentals

SCALES A scale is a set of seven notes ordered from low to high or vice versa.
