Glossary Course- class Requirement- a course you have to take Pre-requisite- what is required in order to take this course AP- Advanced Placement Elective- a class you can choose (Visual Arts. Performing Arts, career and Technology Education) Credits- number of “points you need for each course that will ultimately satisfy graduation requirements Semester- one half of your high school year. A course will either be offered for one semester or a whole year. Grades will be distributed each semester. GPA- an average of your grades over a given semester, year, and/or 4 years of high school
