NIV 11. For the Lord God is a sun and shield; the Lord bestows favor and honor; no good thing does he withhold from those whose walk is blameless. 12. Lord Almighty, blessed is the one who trusts in you.

What Does Jehovah Sabaoth Rule Over? Jehovah Sabaoth rules over the battles we face Joshua 5:13-15

13 “ … Joshua was near Jericho … he saw a man standing in front of him with a drawn sword in his hand. Joshua asked, “Are you for us or for our enemies?” 14 “Neither,” he replied, “but as commander of the army of the Lord I have now come.” Then Joshua fell facedown to the ground in reverence, and asked him, “What message does my Lord have for his servant?” 15 The commander of the Lord’s army replied, “Take off your sandals, for the place where you are standing is holy.” And Joshua did so.

Jehovah Sabaoth rules over the unseen world Nehemiah 9:6 "You alone are the Lord. You made the heavens, even the highest heavens, and all their starry host, the earth and all that is on it, the seas and all that is in them. You give life to everything, and the multitudes of heaven worship you.”

JEHOVAH-SABAOTH rules over creation

Isaiah 45:12 "It is I who made the earth, and created man upon it. I stretched out the heavens with My hands And I ordained all their host.” Psalm 33:6 “By the word of the Lord the heavens were made, And by the breath of His mouth all their host.”

Why Does Jehovah Sabaoth RULE ?

Jehovah Sabaoth has the right to rule 2 Samuel 6:2 “He and all his men went to Baalah in Judah to bring up from there the ark of God, which is called by the Name, the name of the Lord Almighty, who is enthroned between the cherubim on the ark.”

Jehovah Sabaoth has the ability to rule 2 Chronicles 20:6 "Lord, the God of our ancestors, are you not the God who is in heaven? You rule over all the kingdoms of the nations. Power and might are in your hand, and no one can withstand you.”

What Does Jehovah Sabaoth's Rule Accomplish? He humbles the wicked -- Isaiah 2:10-12

10. Go into the rocks, hide in the ground from the fearful presence of the Lord and the splendor of his majesty! 11. The eyes of the arrogant will be humble and human pride brought low; the Lord alone will be exalted in that day. 12. The Lord Almighty has a day in store for all the proud and lofty, for all that is exalted (and they will be humbled).

He Protects His own 1 Samuel 17:45 David said to the Philistine, “You come against me with sword and spear and javelin, but I come against you in the name of the Lord Almighty, the God of the armies of Israel, whom you have defied.

He BLESSES His own 2 Samuel 5:10 “And he became more and more powerful, because the Lord God Almighty was with him.”

Conclusion The Lord of Hosts has it all in his control. We have a choice. We can carry the world on our shoulders, or we can say, "I give up, Lord, here's my life. I give you my world. I trust you as the Lord of Hosts to control my life.”
