The Abrahamic Faiths

3 Goals: (What is Islam about?) Comparing the Abrahamic Faiths Reflection: Where does that leave us?

The Abrahamic Faiths JCI sometimes referred to as ”The Abrahamic Faiths": bc All three religions believe in Abraham as a rightly guided prophet.

"We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and to the 12 tribes, and that which has been given to Moses and Jesus, and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted.” 2:136 Indeed Abraham , obedient to God, upright, inclining toward truth, and he wasn't among the polytheists.   Grateful for his blessengs, and chosen by god and guided to a Straight Path. Then we revewaled to you, to follow the religion of Ibrahim, inclining towards truth, and he was not among the polytheists. The word “Muslim” means the one who submit. "We believe in Allah and that which has been sent down to us and that which has been sent down to Abraham, Ishmael, Isaac, Jacob, and to the 12 tribes, and that which has been given to Moses and Jesus, and that which has been given to the Prophets from their Lord. We make no distinction between any of them, and to Him we have submitted.”

Monotheism in Judaism "[God], the Cause of all, is one. This does not mean one as in one of series, nor one like a species (which encompasses many individuals), nor one as in an object that is made up of many elements, nor as…[an] object that is infinitely divisible. Rather, God is a unity unlike any other possible unity". -2nd Principal of Faith, Maimonides "Hear Israel, the Lord is our God, the Lord is One" Similarly, Muslims might find it interesting that 5th principal of faith under maimonides is: God Alone should be the object of worship.
