Tolmers Camp (14th – 16th June)

What is Tolmer’s Camp all about? Fun Teamwork What is Tolmer’s Camp all about? Quite alot of silliness! Friendship

Overall Aims of the Camp Growth in confidence and independence Develop ability to work in teams Develop friendships To set and meet own challenges To communicate effectively with others To promote an active and healthy lifestyle

Why Tolmers? Personal experience Standard of accommodation Range and extent of activities available Health and Safety Food

Procedures - Parents drop off at 9:45 on Wednesday at Tolmers (please make your own arrangements to lifts – we will only hinder the process!). Parents pickup on Friday at 2:30 (to help you get back to school for 3:25 if necessary) - Personnel (high ratios of adults to children, supervised on every activity) -Mr Floyd, Mrs Goddard, Mr Smith, Mrs Meager, Miss Brands (plus guests for our campfire!) - Rooms/tents – one night inside and one night outside Medical forms ready today – please complete them fully with anything you think we need to know - A typical day

Food Provided by external caterers We will all eat together Mainly healthy options with fruit and water available throughout the day

Packing Please make adjustments based on the weather forecast for the time Bag or case that can be carried No electronic gadgets, but cheap cameras are allowed (anything found will just be taken until pickup on Friday) Old, practical clothes (packed with or better still by your child) Enough changes just in case Practical shoes especially trainers (eg no Ugg boots or their best Nikes as it can be very muddy!) Wellies are best as they have no laces! Nightwear - tracksuits Wash kit (incl Insect Repellent that your child can apply and perhaps sun cream)

Medical Matters Medical form Accidents and emergencies All medication to be handed in please Hayfever!!! Personal toilet or other night-time arrangements

Formalities. Emergency numbers must be accurate and please monitor any mobiles in case we call Anything affecting the whole camp will be directed via Miss Matthews and through the School in the first instance Personal information must be accurate Regular updates via the Office – this year we will attempt to run a Blog (!)
