Prom Dress Code The Prom is one of the most important events of your high school experience. While it should be fun, there should also be a certain level of respect, decorum, and elegance to the event as well. With modesty in mind, the following dress code guidelines will be enforced at the Franklin High School Prom: Dresses/gowns may be backless as long as they are NOT cut below the naval. Dresses/gowns may NOT have midriffs exposed including both the front and sides. Dresses/gowns may NOT be shorter than or have a slit higher than your fingertips. Attendees not wearing a dress or gown should wear a tuxedo, suit, or sport coat with dress pants/slacks. Wearing a tie is also highly recommended. Dress pants/slacks should NOT be sagging lower than the waist.
