Your Question A 1 Proposal 1 – a local aspiration for extended service (Mon –Wed 1-7; Thu –Fri 1-6; Sat 10-5; Sun 1-5) Answer We are reviewing these options in particular following feedback from the last forum that these hours are not good for mothers with young children who prefer mornings

Your Question A 2 Proposal 2 – Existing hours Mon 1-6; Wed and Fri 10 -6; Thu 10 – 8; Sat 9 - 5 Answer We are reviewing this as there was also demand for change on the current hours.

Your Question Your Question A 3 Self-service system to loan and return items Answer This is a two year programme that will start being rolled out later this year. Tate South Lambeth will be one of the first libraries to get this.

Your Question A 4 Opportunities for volunteering – related area of activity Answer We have started working with several volunteers who had shown expression of interest and will be contacting others. We use the Council’s Volunteering Policy

Your Question Your Question Your Question A 5 Budget – more influence and clarity wanted Answer We will be providing an up-to-date breakdown of budget. At present we are consulting you on how to spend £4000 of section 106 money.

Your Question B1. Provide more ‘up to date’ books Answer We have taken notes of your suggestions when we are selecting books for the library. We are currently withdrawing older books that were not being used to make space available for our new books on order. We also have a suggestion list.

Your Question B2. Provide more support to users with special or additional requirements Answer We have taken notes: We have now given our staff basic disability training. E.g. e-learning, team briefings on key issues

Your Question B3.Extend number of computers and time available Answer We have provided three new computers and WiFi.

Your Question B4. Provide books and other resources to support professional study Answer We are continuing to offer the inter-library loan services for books not in stock. We also have a range of text books in popular subjects where there is high demand such as health and social care.

Your Question B5. Extend support to customers with visual impairment Answer It has been done. At present the Digital Tuesday and dyslexic support group is running very successfully including providing awareness to others in and outside of Lambeth.

Your Question C1Make more use of the building for the benefit of the local community Answer Community are benefiting from new activities in the Library. E.g. ESOL Classes, Story and Rhymes, Toy Swap, Knitting and crocheting, Tate South Literacy classes and many more

Your Question C2 Provide literacy classes and support for young readers Answer Done – The new literacy class Started on 21st June 2013. (Tate South Literacy Club )

Your Question C3.Provide computer and related digital media training Answer We will be having 1-1 Digital Training and we are in the process of arranging days and times

Your Question C4. Provide a homework club Answer Our Literacy session will be assisting with Homework

Your Question C5 Reading groups – develop further Answer We currently run 2 groups and will consider suggestions for any additional Group

Your Question D1 Installation of new toilets Answer End of July/August - We are also working with contractors to sort out the long standing problems with the drains.

Your Question D2 Installation of notice boards in and outside Tate South Answer This may be done using section 106 money and will be based on the public vote

Your Question D3 Plasma screens Answer This may be done using section 106 money

Your Question D4 Redecoration Answer Redecoration of the library is part of the planned building works. We will explore possibilities of working with a local college to provide redecoration project for their students.

Your Question D5 Heating – Explore opportunity for external funds to upgrade Answer This will be considered as part of the general refurbishment of the library for which capital money has been allocated already
