Web-Based Speech Tools Virtual Tape Recorder Message Board (voice) Quiz-Survey Maker

“Flash” replaces the traditional Virtual Tape Recorder This tool adds the ability to hear and monitor what one says. “Flash” replaces the traditional tape/video recorder.

Voice Message Board Teachers and students listen and respond through audio and video.

Voice Message Board 1) Add a message to the Message Board (text, audio, and/or video). 2) The message is then published to the class Message List.

VLL Quiz & Survey Maker Teachers can author quizzes or surveys (text only or multimedia): Multiple choice True / false Likert scale And, collect spoken responses.

VLL Quiz & Survey Maker Uses existing video content (Thai news) as a “listening for gist” prompt. Students can write or speak responses.

Group Task: Language + Content Group work: Make a list or chart in English of as many birds and bird sounds as you can. VLL Survey to follow… http://babel.uoregon.edu/surveys/
