Governors’ Summer Term Briefing Sheffield Priorities Successful consultation – positive response and great suggestions! Final review taken place this week. Final version out shortly – it now becomes the ‘high level’ action plan for each of the themes, including success criteria and strategy.

Governors’ Summer Term Briefing School Improvement Strategy Continuity of service – no ‘gap’ between existing and new strategies … school outcomes on the key measure (good/better schools) is 82% (record high). Strategy delayed by high engagement – dry-running of new process and materials in all sectors will inform the final strategy. Next steps: Strategy emailed out and on the website before the end of term – accompanied by a letter to all Chairs, etc. Guide for Governors will be available and communicated by the start of the autumn term in September. Autumn briefing suggested to be early in the term.
