raft (n.) Definition: a simple flat boat made by tying long pieces of wood together Example: We took a raft to the other side of the river. Let’s build rafts and have a race in the lake. Ask: What would be the best building materials for a good raft?

downstream (adv.) Define: the direction that a river or stream is flowing Example: It was fun to float downstream in our raft. The water from the mountains flows downstream to the ocean. Ask: What is the antonym of downstream? List: Places Downstream of Taipei

scatter/ scattered (v.) Define: spread here and there over a large area Example: The toys were scattered all over the floor. The artist scatters drops of blue paint on the white paper. Ask: Can one thing scatter? What would be funny to see fall and scatter? What is scattered on your bedroom floor?
