PHILIPPIANS 1:19-26

Philippians 1:19 Yes, and I will rejoice, for I know that through your prayers and the help of the Spirit of Jesus Christ this will turn out for my deliverance.

Philippians 1:20 …it is my eager expectation and hope that I will not be at all ashamed, but that with full courage now as always Christ will be honored in my body, whether by life or by death.

For to me to live is Christ, Philippians 1:21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.

How did Paul LIVE? Paul enjoyed Christ fully. His life was filled with joy, hope, and perseverance. His life had a purpose of service to others in the name of Christ.

Philippians 1:22 …yet which shall I choose I cannot tell. I am hard pressed between the two. My desire is to depart and to be with Christ, for that is far better. But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account.

Paul’s View of Life and Death Life in Christ is awesome, but death in Christ is far greater!

Philippians 1:24-26 But to remain in the flesh is more necessary on your account. Convinced of this, I know that I will remain and continue with you all, for your progress and joy in the faith…

Philippians 1:24-26 …so that in me you may have ample cause to glory in Christ Jesus, because of my coming to you again.

Some Questions to Consider Is Christ a part of your life, or is Christ the reason for your life? Do you want Christ to bring blessing to your life, or do you want your life to bring glory to Christ?

Some Questions to Consider 3. Who are the people for whom you are living? 4. When it comes time for you to face death, what will you do?
