Children’s Lighthouse Preschool March Newsletter
Welcome to Children’s Lighthouse We have a couple new families and faces that joined us in February. Please help us in welcoming the Ellis Family, the Cahill Family, the Fylling Family, and the Liszka Family. We have also had a couple new staff members join our Lighthouse community. Miss Rocio has joined our Infant Team. She loves coming into work each day to see the infants and brings a calm and loving presence to Infant 1. The children were also delighted to see Miss Belinda has joined us again as a Substitute Teacher. In the front office the wonderful Miss Lizz Anderson has stepped up to the position of Co-Director with our newest addition, Heather Taylor. Heather has been working in the Child Development field for 15 years and has her BA and MA in Early Childhood Development and Education. Please help us welcome our new families and team members. If you see a new face make sure to say hello and introduce yourself!
March Events March 2nd Dr. Seuss’ Birthday! March 10th Book Orders Due In Celebration of Dr. Seuss’ Birthday we will have a Seuss reading nook and silly snacks set up in the front lobby on Friday, March 3rd. March 10th Book Orders Due There are so many wonderful books to choose from! Please make sure to get your Scholastic Book orders in to us or online by March 10th. March 17th St. Patrick’s Day Wear your favorite green outfit! March 20th First Day of Spring We barely had a Winter and Spring is already here.
Learning and Growing Infants and Toddlers Two’s and Preschool Our Infants and Toddlers are learning all about the Senses, Healthy Foods, and Farm Animals this month. The infants will be focusing on learning through their 5 senses so keep an eye out for lots of finger and foot paintings. The Toddlers are getting into Farm Animals and Food this month. Don’t be surprised if you hear some fun animal sounds as you walk past their classroom. Two’s and Preschool Our Two’s through Preschool will be spend March learning all about Farm Animals, Food and Nutrition. In honor of Dr. Seuss’ Birthday this month there will be lots of his books worked into the curriculum. We are already seeing some amazing doors and boards updated for March so make sure to check them all out!
