What is Digital Citizenship? Digital Citizenship: Navigating the digital world safely, responsibly, and ethically

What is a digital media? Digital Media: Electronic devices and media platforms such as computers, cell phones, video, social networking sites, the Internet, and video games that allow users to create, communicate, and interact with one another or with the device or application itself.

What is a digital media? W A T C H (2:21)

What is a Digital Footprint? Well, you may not realize it BUT every time you go online you leave a trail!! Have a look in the history section of your website browser and you can see the websites you have visited in the past. Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette The following slides will establish the classroom routine for tablet use. Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette Teachers using tablets in their classroom will have a digital citizenship lesson before tablets are even assigned to students. Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette Each student will have an assigned numbered tablet in each classroom in which they are used. Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette Teacher will assign two (2) tablet monitors for each period. These students will be the only ones to pass out the tablets. Teachers will allow the last few minutes of class for tablets to be returned in a like fashion. Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette Students will not change settings or add/download any additional programs on these tablets without direct instruction or permission of teacher. Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette Students will report problems or changes to the teacher immediately. (Remember, the network will identify you if you are on an inappropriate site.) Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette Tablets are not to be taken out of room, except when they are in the charging station. Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette Usage of tablets is in agreement with our current technology user’s agreement that all students have signed. (Tablet usage is a privilege-not a right!) Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette Tablets will not be signed out from the cart except for usage within that classroom. Digitalfootprint.com

Tablet Etiquette You break it…you buy it. Remember, these are not made to bounce off the floor. Keep the tablet in the center of your desk…never on the edge or corner. Carelessness on your part will be costly. Digitalfootprint.com
