Overview of BEST Rules Rules Include – 2015 Examples Game Rules: Game Specific Rules including Scoring –new every year 2015 BEST Generic Rules – updated frequently Kit Rules: 2015 Returnable Kit List – updated annually 2015 Consumable Kit List – updated annually Online Q&A needs to be checked frequently – open after Kickoff – need password until approx. 3rd Sunday in September Everyone needs to understand all the rules

BEST Generic Rules Issued at Kickoff & include these topics: Safety Rules Robot Constraints Materials: Construction Requirements; Returnable Kit; Consumable Kit; Additional Materials, Constraints & Exceptions; Team Custom Parts (new in 2016) Size, Weight, Energy Sources, Compliance, & General Tournament (Head-to-Head Competition) Explanation General, Field Colors, Drivers & Spotters, Penalties, Match Protocol, Competition Protocol, (seeding, wildcard, semi-finals, finals) Other Non-compliant robot = you can’t compete! See 2015 Compliance Sheet Remember robot can’t damage the game field. We feel this is possible in the 2016 game, so it’s a strong reminder.
