2 Timothy 3:12 (NASB) 12 Indeed, all who desire to live godly in Christ Jesus will be persecuted.

Why does this happen? It’s because of Jesus.

Evidence that if you are a follower of Jesus you will be persecuted

It’s part of God’s plan

So….. You will be persecuted. Make sure you believe Jesus is worth it.

Why are we persecuted? Jesus is raised from the dead. Theological issue with the saducees Jesus is in charge. Cf our inclination to rebel Exclusivity of Jesus.

How do we respond?

Live good lives

1 Peter 2:12 (NASB) 12 Keep your behavior excellent among the Gentiles, so that in the thing in which they slander you as evildoers, they may because of your good deeds, as they observe them, glorify God in the day of visitation.

Pray for boldness and opportunities!

When we pray God’s Spirit moves and works

So Expect persecution Know at its core is a clash of who’s the boss.

When it comes Be convinced Jesus is worth it. Determine to live a good life. Pray. For courage and opportunities to speak. Speak!
