Not just for Celebs Anymore Facebook Live Stream Not just for Celebs Anymore

A few months ago Facebook introduced live-streaming video on its platform, but the new feature was only available to celebrities such as Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, Serena Williams, and Luke Bryan The Live Stream is now available for all user The live stream is only available on the Mobile App Facebook has made it super easy to use (finally a business reason to use the mobile app)

Here is what Facebook said on January 28th about it

When you click the Update Status button you will see a new option This is the Live Video icon You will also select who will see it and receive a notification of the live stream

Focus your message to the specific audience For personalized messages just choose a specific person

Once you have selected your audience and given a little description select the Go Live button

You can see who has joined Viewers can comment in real time You can quickly and easily switch between forward and backward facing camera When you end the live stream the video is saved on your timeline as a post You can keep or delete the post if you like

Here are a few ways to use it -

Personalize your Connection – As we have discussed many times, building your business is about creating relationships with clients and referral partners We have also discussed the importance of “getting to know” people F – amily O – cupation R – ecreation D – reams Those same people also want to get to know you

Use Livestream to allow people to see into your world Do a live broadcast of a tour of your office – people LOVE to see what your life and activities are Ask a few fun questions of people you work with “What is it like when we get clear to close?” “What type of Tom Foolery goes on at the office?” People love having a behind the curtains peek

If you work from home, you can get in on the action too – Interview the REAL CEO – your wife Interview the miniature CEO’s – the kids Talk about your companies “Head of Security” – your dog Or the laziest employee you have, but the CEO won’t let you fire her – the cat Have fun with it – but know people really do want to know YOU – let them in with this strategy

Behind the Scenes Look – This is different than a connection broadcast Especially effective for the Niche loans you do Walk the viewers through the process of a loan program 1st Broadcast – VA Loan Application processing 2nd Broadcast – Once VA Loan Processed get all documents in order 3rd Broadcast – All VA Loans docs are in submitting 4th Broadcast – etc…..5th ect……. Broadcast a specific Fire and the process for putting that fire out

It shows people the back end of what you have and do People feel more in touch with a brand or product when they see more of how it works That’s not just for the Taylor Made’s of the world No other mortgage lenders are giving that kind of behind the scenes look When you peel back the curtains on your process you create trust with transparency

Live Q and A’s – Hold a live q and a broadcast Specific niche broadcasts will have less people, but more motivated buyers This brands you as the expert to those who attend Q and A’s offer the added benefit of questions being asked by one that someone else hadn’t even thought to ask Have a Q and A every week on a different loan niche then the ones that were most popular, do them again and again

Training Classes – Do a broadcast for all real estate professionals about how to market to their data base or build a facebook fan page for their listings or use text for information properly or market to FSBO sellers Provide something value for free It brands you as that expert – people always want to work with the experts

Do a broadcast to clients about how to use the FHA 203k program to renovate their home or the truths vs. the myths of reverse mortgage or how to use your VA benefits to buy a home with $0 down or why owning a home is so much more cost effective than renting You get to be the expert – Yes – people want to work with the experts

Live Events – You can do a broadcast of your presentations to consumers or referral partners This allows those that maybe can’t make it or may just want to know if you know what you are talking about to attend Include your Facebook profile link in your invites This can help bring in people you did not have on your radar also

Webinars – Like Q&A sessions, you can also hold live webinars This is both easy and cost-effective — you don't need any tech skills or pay for fancy webinar software Webinars don't just offer a visual impact It's also an opportunity for audiences to ask questions and leave comments, which allows you to immediately respond in real-time
