The Recommended Daily Allowance for protein By Kelsey Whitney Monica Lucinda

Recommended Daily Allowance RDA’s are designed for healthy individuals who eat adequate amounts of carbs and fats. 10%-35% of your daily calories should come from protein to meet the RDA

RDA Males 14-18 years old have a RDA of 52 grams pre day Females 14-18 years old have a RDA of 46 grams per day

Example A young woman who needs 2400 calories a day should include at least 240 calories of protein.

Do athletes need more protein? Athletes do need a little more protein than someone who is occasionally active to build muscle and supply energy. This can be as little as an extra half glass of milk.

Athletes needs Athletes need mostly carbohydrates. 55% TO 65% They do not need as many fats. 20%-25% The perfect athletic diet will also need to get the remaining 10%-20% of calories from protein
