2nd Grade Newsletter August 22-26, 2016 Classroom News Dates to Remember Classroom News 9/5- No school: Labor Day 9/9- Grandparents day 7:15am 10/8- Fall Festival 10/12-10/15- Fall Break Please send in $10 for school fees if you haven’t already done so. Give your child’s teacher their t-shirt size for class shirts. Transportation Changes: Always send a note for any transportation changes. Homework – Homework is sent home each Monday. You will have all week to complete the assignments and return all work in the BLUE Homework Folder the following Monday. Do not send back the assignments each day. For Math, you will receive a Math Practice Workbook. Please keep this at home and tear out the pages assigned for the week and return only these pages on Monday in the Homework Folder with the assignment sheet. Also, please work with your child to go over each assignment for correctness. We will mark the front assignment sheet only to show the student has been given credit for that week’s homework. It is also very helpful if all pages are stapled or clipped together with the child’s name on the Homework sheet. I can tell and show what expanded form means. I can read numbers to 1000 (base ten). I can read number words to 1000. I can write numbers to 1000 (base ten). I can write number words to 1000.
