LO: to understand the importance of Stresemann in the recovery of Germany between 1924-1929 Between 1919-1923 the Weimar Government faced many problems yet it survived these many challenges. Many historians have claimed that the period of time between 1924 and 1929 was a much more successful period and is often given the nickname “the Golden Age of Weimar” In the next two lessons you will investigate how accurate this nickname was.

Kept coalition governments together and gave stability which meant that things could get done 3. His success meant that extreme parties suffered.
