Lunch You can leave backpacks in room Be sure you have everything you need You can not re-enter once you’ve left Please come back in quietly, and ready to focus

Library (AR) Books You can go to the library before/after school During lunch Just need your schedule Books are due Monday Can be book from home You’ll want to start as soon as possible

Technology Survey Please answer all questions Add important information If there are any supplies that your parent is unable to get, please write that down

Note Taking Instructions Fill-in line with what is presented Must be written exactly as presented Underlined information is what will go in lines on notes You are expected to follow along You are expected to raise your hand if you have a question

Daily Reading You are expected to read for 30 minutes Monday through Friday You must record what you read in your AR log every day

AR (Accelerated Reader) Your goal must be met by September 23rd You must get a signature from a parent when finished with a book, in order to take an AR test You can take an AR test during SSR Before school with Ms. Kintz (please ask me in advance) After school with Ms. Kintz (please ask me in advance)

How to Log-In to Renaissance Place Click on “student” Username: 1st letter of your first name 1st 4 letters of your last name (plus a number if you are given one) Example: for John Williams username would be: jwill Yours is _________________________

How to Log-In to Renaissance Place Password: Your student ID number Yours is _________________

After You’ve Logged In Choose “Take a quiz” Search for the title of the book by typing it in Find your book and author and click on it Choose “Take a Reading Practice Quiz” (the first option) Choose “Read Independently” (the last option) Hold the keyboard over your head and your teacher will put in the password When finished, log out of Renaissance Place

How to find out how many points book is worth Go to AR Book Find (on the library tab of the Bogle website or on my page in the “Accelerated Reader” page) Type in the title of your book, it will show you how many points it’s worth
