PLANES by Sephy

History of Planes The Wright brothers invented the plane in 1903. Amelia Earhart was the first woman pilot to fly across the Atlantic Ocean. Sadly, she crashed over the Pacific Ocean in 1937. In 1940 s Frank Whittle invented the jet engine. This made airplanes fly faster.

How planes work Aeroplanes are propelled by engines. Twin – engine aeroplanes have two engines and propellers. A planes thin body is called a fuselage.

The pilots job Pilots control the plane and air stewards look after the passengers. Pilots control the plane from the Cock pit.

Different Types of Planes JET Passenger Plane Sea plane Stealth Bomber Tiger Moth Plane

Sephy’s jokes What's a plane’s favourite dinner? Plane soup. Where do aliens park their flying saucers? AT a parking meteor!
