ACADEMIC LOADING ACADEMIC LOADING Long Trimester (14 weeks) Maximum 20CH Minimum 12 CH Short Trimester (7 weeks) Maximum 9 CH Minimum 6 CH A student who does not register any subject by week 4 and has not applied for Leave of Absence, the status shall be changed to ‘Dismissed’. 6.4 Students under probation status Student on probation shall only be allowed to register maximum credit hours as follows: (i) twelve (12) credit hours (CH) for long trimester; and (ii) six (6) credit hours (CH) for short trimester.

ACADEMIC STATUS ACADEMIC STATUS Passing Grade = C Fail = C- , D+ , F GPA is 2.00 and above PROBATION GPA less than 2.00 Passing Grade = C Fail = C- , D+ , F A student may be allowed to repeat a subject* up to maximum of two times. A student who fails a subject more than two times shall be terminated from his studies. However, he may appeal to the Senate Appeal Committee for reinstatement and to retake the subject. 6. Where a student has repeated a subject, only the best grade shall be taken into account for the computation of the Cumulative Grade Point Average. 7. In the case where a student is required to repeat a subject, he shall be required to re-do the entire course work and examinations for that particular subject. * 100% fees will be charged. Note: Probation students are required to attend the “Let Excel Programme” organised by faculty/centre.

Absence from lectures and tutorials Students who are absent for lectures and tutorials are required to produce a supporting document to justify their absence. If a student is absent due to medical reasons, the student is required to give his/her lecturers and academic advisor a copy of the MC. Within THREE (3) working Days

FOUNDATION TO DEGREE TRANSFER Minimum requirement to proceed to Beta (1st year Degree): Bachelor of Accounting Pass ALL subjects CGPA 2.50 for Bachelor of Accounting in FOM Other bachelor Programmes CGPA 2.00 for other bachelor programmes. Students’ placement in the Beta Level courses, either in Cyberjaya or Melaka campus, will be at the sole discretion of Multimedia University
