GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS Statewide Assessments Students MUST pass: Grade 10 FSA ELA, or earn a concordant score on the SAT, or earn a concordant score on the ACT Algebra 1 EOC, or earn a concordant score on the PERT prior to October 1st, 2017 Students MUST participate in: Geometry - 30% of the final course grade. Biology 1 - 30% of the final course grade. U.S. History - 30% of the final course grade. Did you know? If you earn a “D” or an “F” on an EOC, you may choose to retake it to improve your overall course grade.

Post-Secondary Planning The FL College System Florida's colleges remain the primary point of access to higher education in Florida, with 65 percent of the state's high school graduates pursuing postsecondary education beginning at one of Florida’s 28 colleges. The 28 state colleges offer career-related certificates and two-year associate degrees that prepare students to transfer to a bachelor’s degree program or to enter jobs requiring specific skills. Many also offer baccalaureate degrees in high-demand fields. Florida College System institutions have an open door policy. This means students will be admitted to an associate degree program.

All are based in Florida and accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges & Schools (SACS). They serve more than 150,000 degree – seeking students. Nonpublic Postsecondary Schools/Colleges There are also numerous institutions that have met the requirements of the Commission for Independent Education to operate a nonpublic postsecondary school/college in the state of Florida.

The first steps to considering service include understanding the Military's basic entrance requirements, exploring the different Service branches and deciding between enlisted and officer career paths. Today's Military overview pages show the various stages of a military career, from the joining process to training, working and taking advantage of military benefits.

Post-Secondary Planning “College Days” Seniors are allowed three (3) preapproved absences for post-secondary visitations, which do not affect exam exemption eligibility. Turn in a request form to your clerk at least three (3) days prior to the visit. Obtain “proof” of your visit. Give “proof” to your clerk upon your return to school. You are responsible for obtaining and completing all missed class and homework assignments due to the College Day.

Post-Secondary Planning Sending Transcripts: Students who need to send out transcripts must see Ms. Valdes in the Guidance Office to pick up their Transcript Request Card. A parent or guardian must sign the card the first time a transcript is requested. Official hard copies are $2.00 – DO NOT OPEN THEM, otherwise they become unofficial and schools will not accept them. Unofficial copies are $1.00. Electronic transfers are free – Please check ahead of time to make sure that the receiving school accepts this method.
