Presentation transcript:

What I’m learning in ICT at Tredington Primary School. At Tredington Primary School all children have regular access to different ICT equipment. There is an interactive whiteboard in each classroom which supports children’s teaching and learning. At different stages throughout the curriculum children learn computing skills including coding, word processing, use of google as a search engine, how to send and receive emails. Each term children start with some simple internet safety information that focus’ on safe use of computers and what to do when things go wrong. They have regular access to pc’s and learnpads (tablets) as well as Beebots and the Romer. In addition they use computers and learnpads to support their learning across the curriculum using programs such as My Maths, Clicker 7 and ICT Games. Children are encouraged to be confident and considered in their use of digital devices so that they understand that they are tools to support their learning.

I know how to keep safe on the internet

We use learnpads to take pictures and annotate our work. QR codes are used to develop problem solving skills. We enjoy coding, researching and playing ICT games on our Learnpads. In Year 2 they made igloos and then used an animation app to complete a time lapse video of their build. Each class has an interactive whiteboard to support teaching and learning activities.
