Preparing your argument Think of good reasons for your point of view.

Explain your arguments Give details to explain each argument include at least one counter argument. Give examples to persuade anyone listening to or reading it.

Use paragraphs Start a new paragraph for each reason. The opening statement and the conclusion should also have a separate paragraph.

We usually use the present tense in persuasive writing.

Persuade the reader with emotive language. For example: Zoos are evil and disgusting! Poor helpless animals suffer when…

Conclusion Finish your work with your strongest argument in your conclusion but rephrased in a different way.
