Korea Navy Logistics Logistics Circumstance Evaluation Need to prepare for stand alone logistic supportability before the transfer of wartime operational control. Logistics system in private sector is rapidly improving with IT based infrastructure. It’s going to be more difficult to secure a national defense budget. There is a lot of outside pressure to reform waste and inefficiency in defense management. Using private sector material and service is required. Because of the fast improvement of science technology weapon systems are going to be more complicate and expensive. There is a limit to support maintenance by Navy logistics capability. Issues of supranational and nonmilitary threat is consistently increasing, it is required to build an international cooperation system for logistic support and disaster aid effort.

Korea Navy Logistics Logistics Development Tasks Goal Maintain optimum level in logistic capability to sustain war Tasks Innovative development of logistic management system 1 Secure operation sustainable capability in peace/wartime 2 Build an operation focused logistic support system 3 Improve TLCMS 4 Focus on logistic management efficiency 5 Build up international logistic cooperation * TLCMS : Total Life Cycle Management System

Korea Navy Logistics Logistics Development Tasks 1 Secure operation sustainable capability in peace/wartime Secure supplies to prepare for wartime Improve LOTS capability Develop maintenance support capability Guarantee reliability of ammunition Improve performance of weapon systems 2 Build an operation focused logistic support system Simplify logistics chain system Continuously reduce procurement lead time and customer waiting time Develop next gen. Defense logistics integrated information system

Korea Navy Logistics Logistics Development Tasks 3 Improve Total Life Cycle Management System Issue an accurate RAM data from field data analysis system Reflect ship design for easy maintenance Expand use of electronic technical manual which is installed in the ship sever 4 Focus on logistic management efficiency Expand use of using private sector material and service Decrease national defense standard, increase commercial supplies 5 Build up international logistic cooperation

Thank You Operations are to win combats, Logistics is to win the war
