Nostrification of High School Education Step by Step

Do you qualify? Count the years you have attended school (from elementary school to high school) = 10 years -> you cannot get the nostrification in the Czech Republic = 11 year -> you will be ordered to pass some exams depending on the number of hours you have studied during your high school, if the number of hours you have studied during your last two years of school is less than 1200 you will not be able to get the nostrification at all = 12 years -> if the number of hours you have studied during your last three years of school is more than 4000 you will get the nostrification without any exams, if it is less, you will be ordered to pass some exams = 13 years -> if the number of hours you have studied during your last four years of school is more than 4000 you will get the nostrification without any exams, if it is less, you will be ordered to pass some exams

Documents you will need High School Diploma (see slide 4) Transcript of records with the number of hours (see slide 5) Passport Power of Attorney (see slide 6) Accomodation Confirmation (we will issue that for you unless you already live in Brno) Application form

High School Diploma It must be the final certificate – no provisional certificates will be accepted It must be in English or translated into English It must have the correct type of authentication (we will discuss that later)

Transcript of records with the number of hours The documents MUST contain: A list of subjects How many hours you had each subject during your studies at High school It is good if it also contains: Grades from each subject Total of thenumber of hours The document MUST have The correct type of authentication (we will discuss that later)

Power of Attorney Fill in only the part of Principal YES you really are the PRINCIPAL in this document! (in legal English it means someone who gives power to another person to do something for him)

Application form There is nothing very complicated about that just one tricky line. In the line that says: Předchozí vzdělání you should fill in your ELEMENTARY SCHOOL and how many years have you studied there. If there are any other types of schools in your country before the high school, fill them in as well.

Correct type of authentication Your high school diploma and the transcript of records with the number of hours must have the correct type of authentication. On our website there is a list of countries which you should check out to see what is the type of authentication that you need. A – type - Apostille There is an institution in your country that is allowed to attach Apostille to the documents, you will have to go there BEFORE you have your apostille attached, you will have to do the copy of the document and have it authenticated by a notary

B – type – Multilateral agreement This type is the best, because you only have to do the copy of your document and have it authenticated by a notary

L – type - Superlegalization Do the copy of your document and have it authenticated by a notary Then you go to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in your country and have the documents authenticated there Then you go to the Czech embassy and have it authenticated there
