Common Health Problem in KSA Breast Cancer Names and IDs: Zainab Al-Mabuk 200800942 Sukaina Al-Mabuk 200800354

Out line: Introduction about common health problems. Definition of the problem. Causes and associated factors. Associated health problem. Treatment program. Lifestyle changes.

The common health problems : Dangerous diseases are spread significantly in KSA such as Hepatitis, Obesity and Breast Cancer which ranks as one of the leading cancer types in the number of new cases diagnosed and is second only to lung cancer as the most prevalent cause of cancer death in women.

Definition of the Problem: Breast cancer can be defined as a cancerous growth that inhabits the tissues in the breast. Cancer is a disease in which abnormal cells grow in an uncontrolled way. Breast cancer is the most common cancer in women, but it can also appear in men.

Breast Cancer in KSA: Saudi women don’t get screened for breast cancer early, so a majority of those women with the disease as many as 70% are diagnosed at an advanced stage. This leads to a lower survival rate and 30% of breast cancer cases in Saudi Arabia occur in women under the age of 40

Causes and associated factors : There is no exact causes of breast cancer even doctors don't know the real causes, however they know that the breast cancer is not contagious, so anyone cannot "catch" it from another person. Studies have found many risk factors that can cause breast cancer such as:

Causes and associated factors: Age which increases the chance of getting this disease if a woman gets older. Personal history of breast cancer so, if a woman with cancer in one breast, the probability of getting risk in other breast is really huge. Family history of breast cancer which shows that the risk is higher among women who have relatives with this disease. So the first degree relative such as mother, sister, or daughter with breast cancer approximately doubles a woman's risk. Being overweight or obese and lack of physical activity.

Associated Health Problem: Problems associated with breast cancer came from the breast cancer itself, or from the medication that are prescribed for the disease from the doctors. One of the effects of breast cancer treatment is Cardio toxicity. Arm and Shoulder Pain which appears in the survivor due to cut of nerves Cognitive Dysfunction which was mentioned by the survivor of the breast cancer

Treatment Program: There are six ways of treatment of breast cancer which are: Surgery Chemotherapy Radiation Therapy Hormonal Therapy Targeted Therapies Drugs for Treatment and Risk Reduction

Lifestyle changes: According to Healing Natural Oils, there are 11 lifestyle changes that can prevent breast cancer which are: Reducing your sugar consumption Improving your vitamin D levels Avoiding stress Eating vegetables as much as possible A diet rich in fiber Change to good fats

Lifestyle Changes: 7. Sleeping well 8. Exercise and being physically active 9. Losing weight 10. Self examination 11. Giving up smoking

Conclusion : Hepatitis, obesity, and breast cancer considered as dangerous diseases which are spread significantly in KSA. We mentioned: the health problem, causes and associated factors, associated problems, treatment programs, and lifestyle changes for prevention and controlling breast cancer. Our suggestion to prevent breast cancer is to do awareness campaigns to teach people about the disease and how to control it, also by permanent and continuous examination each six months.
