Part 6 James 5 First James addresses the rich , warning them of the pitfalls of the power of wealth and the judgement that follows its abuse, He speaks of the hope in suffering & He seeks to strengthen the faithful in their common life as disciples of Jesus. he returns to the matter of speech, that he initially addressed in Chapter3 ‘to speak the truth without resorting to swearing by heaven or by earth. Then he reminds his readers of the tremendous power of prayer. And urges them to take care of each other. 1
