How do we find a training provider? Need to identify the role or job that could be an apprenticeship National Apprenticeship Service can source provider or ‘find apprenticeship training provider’ We can support you through your CEPNs Find a training provider yourself e.g. local college

What will the training provider do? Support and administer recruitment Train/coach the apprentice Review progress with manager and apprentice Assess in the workplace and support portfolio development Co-ordinate the end point assessment

How do I know the training provider will be any good? The timely and overall success rates of the training provider for the areas they are proposing to deliver on The numbers of apprenticeships they have delivered in that area The vocational expertise of the trainers and the content of the training. Their delivery model for apprenticeships Contact references Talk to the trainer not the sales person

How much will it cost? Number Band limit 1 £1,500 2 £2,000 3 £2,500 4 £3,000 5 £3,500 6 £4,000 7 £5,000 8 £6,000 9 £9,000 10 £12,000 11 £15,000 12 £18,000 13 £21,000 14 £24,000 15 £27,000

How much will it cost? Up until May 2107 there is an employers contribution From May 2107 there is the co-investment model Proposals are for the government to pay 90% and the employer 10% Employers agree price of apprenticeship Employers agree a payment schedule directly to provider From 2018 Payment and contracting will be directly through the digital apprenticeship service

How much will it cost? Employer chooses HCA apprenticeship in band 4 with a maximum price of £3,000 Employer negotiates a price of £2,800 with their provider Government co-invests 90% = £2520 Employer co-invests remaining 10%= £280 Employer and provider agree to spread this over 10 instalments of £28

Apprenticeship incentives Current AGE Grant (£1500) – 16-24 , less than 50 staff, none in last 12 months The abolition of employer NICs for apprentices under the age of 25 30% off adult-rate Oyster Travelcards. Over 18 and live in London Borough Proposals £1000 incentive for taking on a 16-18 year old apprentices < 50 employers no co-investment for taking on 16-18 apprentices
