In pharmacology, a drug is any biological feedstock that directly or indirectly used for drug development, and is called to active substance responsible for the pharmacological activity of the drug. The drug can be any whole plant or animal, organ or part thereof, or derivatives of them by various methods which have achemical composition or chemical substances that provide a useful therapeuticdrug action. According to the World Health Organization a drug is any substance which,introduced into the body by any route of administration, may somehow alter the central nervous system of the individual who consumes them. This term is often used interchangeably to refer to this as the corresponding terms in pharmacy active ingredient, drug and medication, either by extension of the concept or because the literal translation of the English word drug, which makes no distinction between the three concepts.
