TLO 1.0 – Processing Correspondence ELO 1.1 – Research HR Publications LESSON OUTCOME: Students will understand the distinction between Army administrative and doctrinal publications and be able to describe the significance of each to HR Support. Students will demonstrate the ability to produce a basic word processing document, spreadsheet and slide through hands-on application. 21ST CENTURY COMPETENCIES: Lifelong learner (includes digital literacy) Technical competence Communication and engagement INSTRUCTIONAL STRATEGY: Collaborative/Interactive Instruction METHODS OF INSTRUCTION: Tutorial Drill and practice Demonstration Practical Exercise Interactive Multimedia Instruction LEARNING OBJECTIVE ACTION: Prepare Office Documents Using Microsoft Office© Software CONDITIONS: In a classroom environment, given a computer with Microsoft Office, student handouts, standard office supplies, equipment and awareness of Operational Environment (OE) variables and factors. STANDARD: Produce text, graphic and spreadsheet documents using Microsoft Office Software; save and print the documents with a minimum of 70% accuracy. ACADEMIC HOURS: 3.4 LEARNING ACTIVITIES Lesson introduction Word 2007 Excel 2007 PowerPoint 2007 ASSESSMENT Direct assessment. Administer hands-on Practical Exercises that require students to produce, save and print a Word, Excel, and PowerPoint document with a minimum of 70% accuracy. March 2015
