Course Content and Curriculum All of US I and US II material Pre-Columbian Societies to 21st Century Emphasis on Historical Thinking Skills and Historical Writing Skills Essays, primary and secondary source readings, document analysis, Seminars, group work, debates, direct instruction This is a rigorous class!

I Expect Students To: Be RESPONSIBLE Be RESPECTFUL Be PROACTIVE Be ORGANIZED Be ENGAGED ____________________________________________________ Always aim for EXCELLENCE- even if they fall short of their goal, they will still be GREAT!

Advanced Placement $93 per exam; Scored 1-5 The AP US History Exam is Friday May 5!! 219 days to go!! https://apstudent.collegeboard.org/apcourse/ap-united-states-history $93 per exam; Scored 1-5 Multiple Choice; Short Answer; Long Essay Question; Document-Based Essay Question Use the College Board website and Study Island website to prepare Start preparing now

Term Paper Junior year gradation requirement to complete and pass the term paper. 10-12 pages Focus must be on US History between 1900 and approximately 2001. Research and paper will be done outside of class. Available after school to assist with the paper.
