Presentation transcript:

Year 5 and 6 Beaumanor Trip.

Before we went, we made a World War II cake Before we went, we made a World War II cake. We had to separate egg yolk and egg whites. It was very tricky!

We weren’t allowed to talk and girls ALWAYS went first. When we got there a very strict teacher from 1939 split us into girls and boys lines. We weren’t allowed to talk and girls ALWAYS went first.

We forgot our identity cards so had to say this sentence to prove we weren’t German spy's. Luckily, we gained the trust of our new teachers.

It was important to make our own food in World War II. We visited an old classroom and were excited by the blackboard and lift up desks! We wrote letters home to Leicester, printed ourselves some identity cards and made a rationed meal for our host family. It was important to make our own food in World War II.

Next, we learnt about coding and decoding Next, we learnt about coding and decoding. Beaumanor did this during World War II.

Finally an air raid siren went off Finally an air raid siren went off. Our hearts were pounding in the realistic air raid shelter.

We had a great day!
